Common questions

How many events do you run?

Each year we run five qualifying PARK events around the country. This leads to our two day final.

We also run a one day STREET final. This is open to anyone to sign up to as there are currently no qualifying events for this discipline.

Where are your events?

Our qualifers are held in each area of the UK to allow for all riders to have equal opportunity to attend an event. We have two in England then one event in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

What do I need to do before a qualifer?

Before a qualifier you will need to make sure you have your annual ScootGB memberhsip.

At parks that have pre-booking online, you should book your entry to the park.

We strongly recommend you visit the park you intend on competing at prior to the day. On the day, the field of play will be out of action as soon as the first competition commences. Other areas of the park will still be open for free ride if they are not included in the competition.

Do I need to pay park entry as well as the membership?

Yes, paying park entry allows us to support the parks that allow us to host out events.

What is the schedule at each qualifier?

At each event we start by checking in all of the riders. You will need to come to the ScootGB desk to let us know you have arrived.

Once the event starts, we run through each category in order: beginner, novice, intermediate, junior pro and pro. We run through the age categories within these in ascending order.

Our MC will call in the riders for each category at the start of their competition. If there are a large number of riders the category will be split down into more manageable heats. Each heat will have around 10 minutes to warm up on the field of play.

At the end of the event once every one has competed, we hold all of the podiums and announce the top three riders in each category.

Full results are uploaded to our Instagram within 72 hours or the event.

How do I qualify for finals?

For the STREET, OPEN/PRO WOMEN and NOVICE GIRLS categories the finals are open and there is no qualification processs.

For all other categories riders must qualify at one of our qualifier events. Please see our judging guidelines to understand our process on deciding the rankings and our qualification page to explain how we choose the number of riders who continue to finals at each event.
